Concealed Handgun Deployments Course (8 hours)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This POST-certified course was designed to provide structured training to every law enforcement officer who carries a concealed firearm.  Students will explore strategies for handling confrontations while out of uniform, communication and equipment challenges, drawing / shooting / reloading from concealment, re-holstering, working with different types of clothing, fighting in/from/around vehicles, and accuracy issues with compact weapons.

Who should attend:  Task force officers, gang units, narcotics detectives, fugitive teams, and anyone who carries a gun off-duty in a plainclothes capacity.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

​

Note taking materials

Comfortable clothing suitable for a training environment (plainclothes)

Concealed carry handgun with 2-3 spare magazines

300 rounds of ammunition

Eye & ear protection

T-shirt, zip up sweatshirt or jacket, & heavy jacket (will rotate through clothing)

Sunscreen

Water / snacks
